HELPFUL INFORMATION

RALLY TIME TRIAL

A rally time trial is a sprint competition open to fully prepared Stage Rally cars as seen on a Stage Rally.

After a low speed Recce run, each car would attempt the stage (up to 4 miles in length) a number of times, normally 4 but up to 6. The best time of the day wins.

The events are open to competitors with Interclub or above stage rally licenses. Cars can be double entered .

HOW DO I START?

Rally Time Trials are a cost-effective alternative to a full blown stage rally. If you already compete on regular stage events, you can easily enter Time Trials.

To get started, go to some events and chat with some of the competitors and organisers, who will be happy to talk you through everything you need to know and answer any questions you may have. Some events take place on airfields and MOD property meaning spectators are not allowed, so why not volunteer to marshal?

Next, join your local club. You will each need to be a member of the organising club or an invited club to compete, but with club membership at £20/year it is a low cost to get involved. Then, of course, you will need a car.

WHAT DO I NEED?

You will need all the equipment associated with a stage rally. This can sometimes be involved and complex, so please feel free to contact us and we can talk through your options.
